Lost Love in the City of Dreams

Mumbai, the city that never sleeps. The chaotic streets filled with honking cars, bustling markets, and the aroma of street food wafting through the air. This is where our story begins... As soon as my flight touched down at Mumbai airport, a sense of excitement and anticipation washed over me. I knew that I had arrived in the city of dreams. I came to Mumbai with a single dream – to marry the girl I loved. We had been in a long-distance relationship for quite some time, but I couldn't bear the distance any longer. That's why I started to look for a job in Mumbai. I couldn't imagine a life without her, and I knew she had her own dreams of becoming an actress. Over our frequent phone conversations, she used to playfully tease me about coming to Mumbai. At that time, I would dismiss it as I was focused on my career and job. However, things took a sudden turn when she stopped taking my calls. It was incredibly tough for me, and my frustration grew. That's when I made the

Lets NOT Create a DIVIDE Among Ourselves

Image
We‘re living in a society that is divided into three classes, the poor, the middle-class, and the rich.  The poor class, which includes beggars, rickshaw pullers, daily-wage laborers, and so on, work really hard every day in order to earn a livelihood. Then, there are people who belong to the middle-class category, which includes IT professionals and government employees, also work hard to not just earn money but also provide a decent lifestyle to their families. And, finally, there is another class of people who are rich, which includes the industrialists and businessmen who also work hard to provide a lavish lifestyle to their families. Apart from all these classes, there is another class including politicians and media who have direct control over these three classes and who have created a divide among these classes.  It is high time that we realize the need to remove this divide else we will be always control

A man was sitting on a bench with both of his hands over his head and looked tense as he had just lost his job. A saint was passing by and stopped when he saw the man. "Son, you look tense. Is everything alright?" he asked. "No baba. Nothing is alright. I have just lost a job and I have nothing to do. How am I going to earn a living? How am I going to feed my family?", the man replied while having tears in his eyes. The saint gave a faint smile on his face. At this, the man got angry and asked him, "You are laughing. Are you a fool? Have you ever lost something? Do you know what happens when you lose your job?" The saint didn't mind his anger because he knew he was upset but just said, "Son, I am just coming from the crematorium where I have cremated my entire family as I had lost them due to the earthquake that happened three days earlier". He then moved ahead while giving him blessings to take care of him. The man was so moved when he hear

Marriage is an empty box

A boy was very nervous on his day of marriage as he was getting married to a girl whom he had never known. His father saw him and asked, "Son, you look nervous? What happened?"   "Aren't you excited that you're getting married?" he asked again   "Dad, isn't marriage a beautiful thing one always longs for that consists of intimacy, friendship, and companionship", he enquired.   "This is a common myth that most people believe in but reality is something else. The truth is that marriage is nothing but an empty box", he replied.   "Ah, is it!“, he exclaimed feeling more nervous.   His father sensed his nervousness so he replied again, "Marriage is a box where you must put something in before you take something out. There is no love in marriage as love is in the people and people put love in marriage. Similarly, there is no romance in marriage but people infuse romance into marriage. You must learn this ar

THE PENCIL

Based on the story from Paulo Coelho’s novel, “Like the Flowing River” I was working on my laptop at my home and then suddenly, my son, Ishaan, came running towards me.  I didn't bother to see him as I was too engrossed in my work as I had to complete the story and deliver it by today. But, he kept on insisting to listen to him. Sometimes, my son seems to get me irritated but you can’t help and there’s no pint in complaining, at least not before your son because, the kind of questions he will then ask will make you mad. I put the laptop down, turned to him, and asked in a harsh tone, “What! What is it that you want now, Ishaan? I told you not to disturb me. Cant you just finish your homework quietly until your mom comes back”.  My wife had gone to neighbor to attend to a ceremony. I was also invited to it but I preferred to stay back as I had deadline to meet. As I was engrossed in my own thoughts, Ishaan pulled my hand again, and showed the pencil before me, an
